 Background to the Covenant. What are the issues? How did we get to this place? What is the Covenant trying to do?

We continued our discussion of baptism, this time from more of a theological (as opposed to liturgical) perspective.

In this class we began our discussion of baptism from a liturgical perspective, focusing mainly on its development liturgically in terms of the Easter Vigil.

In this class we finished up our discussion of the "four moments" of the eucharistic prayer, looking this time at the epiclesis.

In this class we looked at an additional "moment" in the Eucharistic Prayer: "anamnesis."

In this class we looked at two "moments" of the Eucharistic Prayer: "institution" and "oblation."

Today we continued to look at Scottish influence on the American prayer book.

In this class we began to look at Prayer Book revision, beginning with Cranmer's 1549 Book of Common Prayer. In particular we discussed how the Scottish Church influenced our American Prayer Book Tradition.

Many great questions in this session, asked by parishioners, with lots of great discussion.

The discussion was launched by a consideration of form and content in our worship adn church life.

We further discussed lex orandi lex credendi, also taking questions including, "If we were to all start worshipping in a mosque, would we then cease to believe in the Trinity?"

In this week's class we introduced the topic of _lex orandi, lex credendi_, "the law of worship is the law of belief."

In class we discussed various questions about worship & liturgy & the Book of Common Prayer. We also began to discuss the principal of lex orandi, lex credendi, "the law of worship is the law of belief."

In this class we went over the outline for the overall course.
